From the glass disc to the residential series. In the early fifties, Italy was busy in reconstruction and electrical installations started to evolve as well: from lighting points with a glass disc to the first residential series.
The quest for safety. On March 15th 1968, the Sicury shutter, which prevents accidental contact with live parts, obtained recognition with a patent: it was immediately to be made freely available and was to be adopted by the market as a regulatory standard.
A new Idea. In the eighties, “total quality” came to the company: innovation of the production cycle, partnership with the market, customer satisfaction. The new Idea residential series was born, and it was immediately a success.
From the product to the systems. With the new millennium, technological evolution involved the domestic space too: the traditional installation became a system. Vimar launched By-me, that became the core of home automation for all residential series.
The trademark evolves. The trademark transformed over time too, accompanying the growth of the company since 1945.
